Kelly Mattison

I am a reporter for the Congleton Chronicle weekly newspaper. I previously worked as a freelance journalist and my work was published in The Guardian, Big Issue North and York Press. In October 2023 I completed my studies at News Associates for my NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism. I received a bursary from the Journalism Diversity Fund to complete this.

ABOUT ME

My articles have been published in The Guardian, York Press, Mancunian Matters, Big Issue North, Big Issue Scotland and Young Minds magazine.

I am also the founder of HEART CIC. After working in domestic abuse services for many years I co-developed a programme for young women to empower them to recognise the difference between a healthy and abusive relationship.
